Ag Days 2000
More than 100 alumni and friends gathered for the presentation of the first Annual Alumni and Friends Awards at the annual meeting of the College of Agriculture Alumni Association. Dean Larry Branen presented a college update and John Hammel, associate dean and director of academic programs, discussed student recruitment efforts for the college. But the main event was honoring 10 alumni and friends for their outstanding contributions to the College of Agriculture. The awards, selected by the College of Agriculture Alumni Association Board of Directors, were in three different categories: Young Alumni Achievement Award, Distinguished Associate Alumni Award, and Distinguished Alumni Award. Larry Branen and Clen Atchley, president of the association board of directors, presented the awards.
