Bessie Storms 34, St. Maries, who was a teacher for 25 years, has a son as well as two grandsons who are UI alumni in forestry and ag engineering. Leonard Winkle 49, Twin Falls, has retired from the United States Steel Corporation and spends his summers in the Stanley Basin. Peter K. Wilson 51, Lapwai, received the Governors Award for Excellence in Agriculture at the Idaho Ag Summit 2000 held in Boise. Donald Rydrych 53 and 58, Helix, Oreg., is a retired research agronomist from Oregon State University. He has recently written a historical documentary entitled "The Farm Homesteads of Bass Lake, Minnesota." The book describes the lives of 24 families that homesteaded in northern Minnesota in the early 1900s. Jim Crane 65, Keizer, Oreg., is employed by Oregon State University. He received the 1999 Outstanding Researcher Award from the Association for the Advancement of Industrial Crops. Ronald Lindquist 73, Osceola, Neb., is employed as a nutritionist for Minnesota Corn Processors. He is responsible for marketing wet corn gluten feed to beef and dairy operations. Julie (Cahill) Kerner 82, Weiser, provides customer service and employee relations seminars to agribusiness companies. Kathee Tifft 88, Moscow, completed her M.S. in family and consumer sciences in May, 2000. She is a FCS and COA alumni board member. Keith Anderson 90 and 95, Cheney, Wash., is the new agricultural education instructor at Cheney High School. Daniel Hanson 94, Potlatch, has recently accepted a sales position in the greater Palouse region with United Agri Products (UAP). Roy Schwilke 95, Burley, is a freelance writer and also works in the agriculture equipment business as a consultant. His wife, Brandi (Bott) 97, is a biology teacher at Minico High School in Rupert. Kristin (Ondler) Veneman 95, Des Moines, Iowa, is a third-year medical student. She and her husband, Rob, 96, have two sons. Kristin plans to practice primary care in the rural Pacific Northwest. Jamie Loiland 97, University Place, Wash., is teaching for Bates Technical College in Tacoma, Wash. Alpha Zeta Needs Your Help! The Idaho Chapter of the Fraternity of Alpha Zeta is compiling a list of those inducted into the Alpha Zeta Hall of Fame (originally the Idaho Agriculture Hall of Fame) for a plaque in the College of Agriculture.
