Clover Leaf Weevil
Hypera punctata (Fabricius)

Adults are brown, up to 10 mm long, and have a long snout. They are similar to and larger than alfalfa weevil adults but do not have the dark stripe down the back. Larvae are green with a dark brown head and a white stripe down the back. This insect occurs in early season and is seldom numerous enough to cause damage. Host plants: white clover, red clover, alfalfa, beans.
